Please raft safely and responsibly.  You know you skill level.  Always respect the water, and do not go alone.  Please visit the link below to get the river flow information.

NOTE: Running rivers is a dangerous activity and it would be unreasonable to inform people how to specifically run certain rapids because of the variance or changing nature of rapids based on river flows. For this reason, it is highly recommended that you scout any and all rapids you are unfamiliar with. Now, specific to this section of river, we highly recommend that you definitely scout Snow Hole Rapid (This is a non issue at high water 18-20,000 cfs). Slide Rapid - this rapid starts after the massive rock slide on river left and where the power line crosses the river. Stay left at Slide, and China at high levels (18-20,000 they are dangerous) The BLM states that they DO NOT recommend it after 20,000 cfs for smaller boats 14 - 16" and 30,000 for commerical outfits.  You can get out before Slide Rapid at Eagle Creek, but the road into Eagle Creek is a very primitive one at best.  It is 11 miles and takes about 3-4 hours to navigate, this is due to the rocks, and the overgrown brush that I try to remove along with trees that may have fallen in the road, it is not maintained.  Trees have fallen on my vehicle while going in and if you have a trailer, you better have a good spare.  There are no turn out's per se and no shoulders, so if someone is coming to you, hopefully they will back up. Having said all that - Eagle Creek is one of the best places to camp.  You get a view of all 3 Canyons - there are multiple white sand beaches. It is stunningly beautiful in my estimation and all I can say is if you want to do this shuttle - take a vehicle that you don't mind getting scratched up because it will.  Do not say I did not warn you.

There are many stretches along the Salmon River that do not require a permit, please call me if you want to do a float and are unsure of Slide on the Lower, there is the upper stretch of the lower that is great and there is also the Snake River.
