  Directions to the Selway River put in

  From Darby, Montana on US 93, drive south 10 miles to a point where the road crossed the

  Bitterroot River.  Just before that bridge, hang a right up to the West Fork Road. Follow this

  road to Magruder Ranger Station, then turn right and follow the Selway river downstream to

  the put in below Paradise Guard Station.

  Make sure your shuttle provider is permitted to run shuttles out of the Selway.  All Rivers Shuttle holds a special permit to 

  run shuttles on this river.

 Only four outfitters operate on the Selway river. They often book a year or more in advance. It is always worth checking for openings due to last minute cancellations.
